Your mental strength has a lot to do with how you react to what’s going on around you. We all have things going on around us, in our worlds, and there will always be change whether it’s forced change or change that we want to promote. How we deal with this and how we react to it is a big part of your mental strength.
Now, some things we can control and some things we can’t. The things we can control are what we should worry about. The things we can’t control, we can’t do anything about. We can’t control our circumstances that we’re in now, but we can control where they’re heading.
So you’re in an unfortunate circumstance, or something goes wrong and doesn’t go your way. Don’t feel sorry for yourself. That’s just where you’re starting. Where you go from there is what’s important, and your mental strength will help you get there.
Something to always remember is the acronym WIN:
- What’s.
- Important.
- Now.
This will help you focus on what’s most important. It will also help you focus on what’s in your control.
If you want to learn more about mental toughness, we’ve got some great white papers and some workbooks on this, and I’d love to do a complimentary coaching session with you. To schedule your session, fill out the form to the right, call 270-663-7264 or email [email protected]. Stay awesome.
