Travis Chaney is the CEO of Dynamic Directions. A Certified Master Coach®, he has coached clients to places on the Barron’s Top 1,200 Financial Advisors list, the Barron’s Top 100 Female Advisor list and Forbes list of Best-In-State Wealth Advisors. He was the Franchise Consultant of the Year with his broker-dealer in 2011, 2014 and 2018.
He works with financial planning practices across the country and coaches 20 coaches within Dynamic Directions. He is a former award-winning financial advisor who consistently ranked in the top 1.5% of financial advisors at Ameriprise while working one week per month with a small client base. As a speaker, Travis has delivered substantive and inspirational presentations to companies like Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc., Coldwell Banker, Woodmen of the World, Financial Planning Association and Kentucky Wesleyan College.
Travis is also the author of two books, The 3 CEOs: The Three Most Important Roles Entrepreneurial Financial Advisors Play and Turbo Growth; Proven Strategies to Create an Extraordinary Life and Financial Planning Practice.
Travis is a co-founder of Inner Circle Entrepreneur with Dr. Zach Gerbarg to help business owners and top executives master the fundamentals of entrepreneurship.
In 2013, Travis co-founded a new youth football league for the Owensboro area – Kids Football League. In 2018, Travis and his wife Christy, joined forces with Jason Tanner, founder of the Emmy award-winning advertising agency, Tanner+West to create the Owensboro Times, a daily, online local news source. He is also a country music songwriter who recently launched a music publishing company, SoNash Publishing.
Travis’ prior community involvement consists of serving as a Board of Trustee member for his alma mater, Kentucky Wesleyan College, past president of Theater Workshop of Owensboro and past board member of RiverPark Center. Travis and his wife Christy have three children – Ryland, Lucy and Stone – and one special doggy, Paisley. Travis enjoys being with his children, reading business-based books, working out, playing guitar, songwriting, supporting his wife’s foodie adventures, bourbon and traveling wherever life takes him.
