Jenny Sevcik joined D2 in 2016 after spending 12 years at the Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer, the daily newspaper in Owensboro, Ky. Jenny started as a staff photojournalist – documenting the town of Owensboro and its surrounding region — and then moved into a leadership role as photo editor.
Jenny graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts in Photojournalism and a minor in Marketing. She is a second generation Hilltopper!
In 2016 Jenny took a leap of faith and changed careers. She began at D2 in as the assistant marketing manager and the keeper of the calendars (i.e. scheduling). She has since moved into operations, accounting and human resources.
Jenny lives in Owensboro with her better half, Scott, and their three cats: Tuck, Rue and Milo. Jenny enjoys home projects, spending time outdoors and firing up the firepit in cooler months. Jenny is currently teaching herself how to lay a paver patio (after ripping out the rotted porch that was not properly supported next to her home).
