Travis Ray Chaney, CFP® and Certified Master Coach™ is CEO of Dynamic Directions, a coaching and consulting firm that helps independent and entrepreneurial financial advisors double their GDC in three years or less with half the clients. Travis is a former award-winning financial advisor who consistently ranked in the top 1.5% of financial advisors at his broker-dealer with more than 10,000 representatives while working one week per month with a small client base. Travis is also a partner in a financial planning firm. He is a member of the National Speakers Association (, Financial Planning Association (, and has had Dr. Nido Qubein ( as his mentor for close to two decades.

Specifically, Travis works as a coach and consultant with larger groups and individual financial services practices that typically generate more than $1,000,000 in annual GDC. Several of Travis’ clients achieve Barron’s Top 1000 Independent Advisor, Barron’s Top 100 Female Advisors and Forbes Best-in-State wealth advisors. As a speaker, he has delivered substantive and inspirational presentations to companies like Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc., Coldwell Banker, Woodmen of the World, Financial Planning Association and Kentucky Wesleyan College.  Travis is also the author of several audio series, including “Achieve Turbo Growth!” and released his book in 2011, “Turbo Growth; Proven Strategies to Create an Extraordinary Life and Financial Planning Practice.” Travis is a co-founder of Inner Circle Entrepreneur ( ) with Dr. Zach Gerbarg to help business owners and top executives master the fundamentals of entrepreneurship.

In 2013, Travis co-founded a new youth football league for the Owensboro area – Kids Football League. In 2018, Travis and his wife Christy, joined forces with Jason Tanner, founder of the Emmy award-winning advertising agency, Tanner+West to create the Owensboro Times, a daily, online local news source. He also recently directed a play for Theater Workshop of Owensboro.

Travis’ prior community involvement consists of Board of Trustee member for his alma mater, Kentucky Wesleyan College, past president of Theater Workshop of Owensboro and past board member of RiverPark Center.  Travis and Christy, own Studio Slant, a handmade gift store and art gallery in Owensboro.  He and Christy have three children – Ryland, Lucy and Stone – and two special doggies, Bayla and Paisley. Travis enjoys being with his children, reading business-based books, working out, playing guitar, songwriting, supporting his wife’s foodie adventures, bourbon and traveling wherever life takes him.
